I find it tough to find much fault with my last visit to World of Beer by Tampa Airport. We met with a group of friends to watch the Gators game and kick back a few beers. The atmosphere was loud with several college games playing on the many TV screens located throughout the building. Without doubt, this is a great place to keep an eye on all of your teams at once.
World of Beer definitely lives up to their name. With so many choices, I had a tough time deciding which beer to wash down my dinner with. I decided on Cycle Brewery's "Cream and Sugar, Please" to pair with my Chimay Burger. Let's talk about the burger. Imagine fresh Angus beef smothered with Chimay cheese, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions and garlic aioli served on a brioche bun. It was quite tasty, but not as big as I thought/hoped. Nonetheless, I did not leave hungry.
Since our visit was extended due to the game, I did take in my surroundings and noticed that Mondays are burger nights when they have $5 burger specials. Also, taco deals on Tuesdays...I'm in! I will definitely be checking out the Sunday brunch which includes $14 Mimosa and Bloody Mary's. Seems like the perfect destination to tailgate in the AC before a Bucs home game. -

Decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat for a late dinner -- and it definitely turned out to be late.
I was with a party of 4 and initially, the service was great. First, we were seated quickly and greeted by our waitress in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered drinks and those arrived fairly quickly. I ordered the Mojito. Definitely wasn't thinking, I obviously should've ordered a beer because the mojito was by far the worst I've ever had.
The food took about ten minutes shy of a whole hour to make it to our table and by then, we were definitely ready to leave. I ordered the Cali Bowl with Shrimp over Jasmine Rice and without the grape tomatoes. The bowl turned out to be delicious with the sriracha lime aioli and the sesame soy sauce, it had the perfect amount of spice. After eating and anxiously waiting on our server to return we were finally able to get out. She mentioned that the kitchen was backed up because a ton of orders went in at the same time.
I would return just for the Cali bowl but, I would definitely just order it to go. -

Glad they have a rewards card and they are in a good location if you are staying in the Avion Park area near the Tampa Airport.
Bar service is terrible. Unfriendly and hard to get served even during off times of the day. Good place to come and sit to watch sports. No pressure to buy a drink because they never ask if you want anything and good luck getting another round when your glass is empty. Food was not bad but it was nothing special or at least the server describes it a being nothing special. We ordered the hummus appetizer which was okay. Nice use of sliced cucumbers. Also ordered boneless chicken app. Lightly dusted with garlic parm but it was just a dry dust and not much flavor. Glad we had the ranch dressing to dip in as that was pretty homemade tasting. I wish the service left a more positive impression because I think they don't care as if you are a captive audience by location and may not have other choices. Hope to use my rewards from my card before they expire.
FYI: if you are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, they have a card for $5 off of $25. Just ask at the desk! -

Three stars for food and beer selection. 1 star service. I have been to this particular location twice. Once on a Friday evening and once on a Tuesday evening. My husband and I went on a Friday after work at about 9pm. I expect a wait, and wait we did.. but not for a table. That was relatively quick. We waited for 20 minutes to get a server. When the waiting and ordering was over our meal was "ok" beer was good. I figured they were busy, maybe not at their best. I decided to give three another shot.
Two weeks later I returned on a Tuesday evening, around 7pm with my two sons. Again we were sat quickly. Tuesday nights they have $5 burgers. Though they didn't seem busy. We waited 20 minutes for a server again. Never even so much as and, "I'll be right with you". I was about to leave when the server finally showed up. We gave her our order and received most of it rather quickly. Only we had no silverware. So we were left waiting for this server to show up again.... then I realize we had not gotten our appetizer either. When I inquired about it. She said "my bad I forgot to put it in".
To her credit at least she took responsibility. She tried to give it to us to go. I declined. I really want to like going here. But my first two visits left me feeling like I probably won't be back. I don't like waiting... excessively, For mediocre (at best) food and service.
At least the server on my 2nd visit tried though. -

I've now been here a couple times and I have no complaints food wise and drink wise. They have indoor and outdoor seating, I prefer the outdoor because the seating is more comfortable but there are some couches on the inside too, but it does get loud. Tried their seasonal pumpkin spice latte beer it was ok. The Mac n cheese bites are out of this world! Highly recommended those.
